New Century Software
Inc. was established in 1990. Its broad aim is to serve
the construction and service industries with computerized job costing,
equipment costing, work order / service contract accounting software systems
that are completely integrated.
"Your needs in computerization are our mandates for ACTION!" We have hands-on experience in installation, support, and customization of the latest in construction and service software. The people at New Century Software Inc. have provided consulting services for office computerization to numerous companies. Along with aiding in the selection of appropriate hardware and software, New Century trains client personnel on the operation of the systems and makes recommendations regarding reporting structures and posting procedures. Our experience over the years enables us to advise our clients on the best approach to system implementation.
Software New Century is currently
a distributor for various DOS/Windows based products including the Jonas
multi-user job cost and service work order accounting system. Our company
also provides technical and procedural support for the software we sell.
The Jonas Software runs in the following network environments: Novell,
Windows 95, Windows 98, and Windows NT/2000.
Installations The employees at New
Century have installed a combined total of over 1000 construction and service
contractor integrated accounting computer software systems. Our company
is equipped to provide comprehensive services including consultation, training
and programming and after sales support for the construction and service
industries.
Software Support The company currently services more than 250 construction and service contractors. We have been providing very efficient phone and modem support to customers across Canada and the United States. Alex has a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Economics & Finance from the University of Toronto. Alex majored in Business at the University of Windsor and acquired his CICA credit hours. Alex's experience is primarily in construction, accounting, business administration, and sales. He worked several years in public accounting for a well-known accounting firm, and has been in and around construction all his life. Currently Alex sits on the MCAT committee for the associate members. As a result of Alex’s efforts he has come to be known as the expert for Mechanical contractors in the GTA area. Alex has approximately seventeen years of experience in the construction software business. He has approximately twelve years of experience in preparing, marketing and presenting software seminars and demonstrations on construction accounting as it applies to the different types of construction industries. Alex previously installed and trained new and experienced users on construction accounting software programs. He has been involved in customer support and developing specifications for new software systems.
Francesco has also been involved with construction for much of his life. He has an extensive knowledge of the construction industry, as well as engineering and estimating applications. He works as a client representative, consulting users on features of the software as well as fielding customer inquiries. He is heavily involved in dealing with key accounts and producing software specifications for the clients. Francesco possesses a B.Sc. in engineering from Queen's University and a M.B.A. from York University. Francesco has extensive experience in installing software systems for General, Road Builders, Mechanical and HVAC contractors. Fran is well respected in the industry for his knowledge of the construction business, and for his highly effective training style.
Alice Soo Wang, a programmer/analyst, has a Bachelor of Mathematics with a Computing Science major from the University of Waterloo. She has been responsible for major programming projects. Alice has seventeen years experience in programming. From 1986 to 1990, Alice was the programming manager for the Construction Department at Jonas & Erickson, supervising a team of 5 programmers. Her responsibilities include: ensuring proper programming methods and documentation, testing of programs, support, and customization. Her strengths include a very thorough and organized programming style, as well as being well-versed in financial, job cost and service work order applications.
